- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Gemfish, unfortunately we are burden by having a local fish and chip shop with many faults. Mind you the other fish and chip shops in Kiama are no better and over priced for the quality. Service is not great Chips are soggy!!!. Any good fish and chip shop would know not to leave their chips in room temperature before being deep frying. Chips are better put in frozen to blister the chip from the out side to ensure oil is not soak in, which will ensure a crunchier chip while saving money on oil. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Well if you are an Arab vegetarian all good. The vegetable oil certainly was the most I have seen on the batter for a long time. Also who sells battered calamari!!!?? Quite DISAPPOINTED with the whole order. No complaints from the seagulls. 10 per cent off for Big 4 first time suckers we should be asking what 4.
